Gtx 970 or r9 390 for triple monitor gaming

I want to start triple monitor gaming, I am using a gtx 760 right now and want to upgrade to a gtx 970 or an r9 390. Which is better for triple monitor gaming?

For three monitors you are better off with the 390 since it has more vram and will perform better at the higher resolutions. If you were only going to play in 1080p then the 970 would be the better option.
