I know you need special hardware for windows hello like a finger print scanner or some special camera, but I don't know what to buy. What hardware would you recommend for windows hello.

Well, Intel sells a fancy camera that works with Windows Hello: http://click.intel.com/intel-realsense-developer-kit.html

Note that that is a developer kit though, so it's not really meant for commercial usage, and it does have certain hardware requirements. I don't think there are many, if any, other external cameras that work for this yet--but it's still only been about a week since launch, so I'm sure more will come out over the next few months.

Cameras for Iris scan or facial recognition require multiple cameras and infrared. No existing webcams will not work.

On the other side though, most existing Fingerprint scanners will work with Windows Hello.
