Greetings

I'm trying to get the most out of my current rig.

What would you recommend to make this push a bit more?
I'm looking to game somewhat smoother.

Your R9-280 and i5-750 are already pretty well matched. My Phenom II X4 965BE is in the same tier as your i5-750 for gaming: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html
And my Sapphire Dual-X R9-280 I used to have was right at the margin for being bottlenecked by my PhII X4 until I OC'ed it. Unfortunately, you can't get much OC with the locked multiplier CPU you have. So you are at the limit for a gfx card.

You might get lucky and find a used i7-8xx or i7-9xx processor someplace like ebay to enable you to bump up a tier in gfx cards. But short of that, it may be time to start saving for a new platform. I used to have an 1156 platform and an i7-875K with an unlocked multiplier. It was a heck of a powerful CPU for its age. But like a damn fool I sold it.

Thats quite a big list. I was expecting to see 10 or 20 at most!

Yes, I figured I'm at the edge of bottlenecking.
Was thinking of OC'ing my i5, but I gotta learn how without braking it.

Did find an i7 for 130 bucks used, but I'm not sure its a big improvement honestly.
I'm thinking it's going to be a very tiny improvement. not worht the money.

Was thinking of just buying a better videocard for $260 or something. Still not a big improvement.

Well, tech gets old fast, so I think you'll be ok without it.

Thank youj
