Intel® Core™ i5-750 Processor or Intel® Core™ i5-2400 Processor

As I found out after I bought my i5 750, the 2400 is faster. Remember that you can't OC the 2400 however, so I'm not sure what happens when you compare the 2400 vs a 4.0GHz 750. I'm not an OCer, so I should have gone with the 2400.

have you over clocked yor i5 CPU?

I assume not, since he said he's not n OCer; however, the i5 (750) does OC fairly well. I've had mine at 3.5GHz with 4GHz turbo for quite some time and it is great (great performance, reasonable temps, and decent power consumption).

Correct EXT, and I'm not going to. I was trying to say that if both are stock, the 2400 is the faster CPU. If however you OC the 750, I'm don't think that stays the case. There is no 2400k, so if you OC you might be better off with the 750.

I went with the 750 because I got a great board. My budget didn't allow for a good 1155 CPU and board.
