Insanely high memory usage, problem isn't the memory sticks themselves.

I haven't been having this problem after I first installed Windows 10. I replaced my memory sticks with some others I had sitting around the house, with the problem not being fixed.

I even switched from Chrome to Pale Moon, and it hasn't gotten better.

The only thing that helps, and it's only for a while, is a cold boot.

What could possibly be causing a memory leak this bad?

I may or may not have fixed it because of this thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2752213/high-memory-usage-issue-task-manager-fails-display.html

I'll have to test more, but the solution matched my case.

That doesn't seem to have fixed the problem. Would I have to restart my PC to see results?
