Oh no, lol. The 750 is a Maxwell gpu, a total redesign. It's also the oddball. The 560ti is a gtx500 series card, that goes from 540 to 580 for average consumers. In the 700 series, you are looking at 740 to 780. Nvidia basically skipped the 800 series (mostly mobile gpus) and went to the Maxwell gpus in the 900 (960,970,980,980ti) series. The 750/750ti was an early release of Maxwell, and it's major selling point was 560ti/660 performance with no requirement for a psu beyond stock OEM. No additional pcie connector required. So while the 700 series is a couple years newer, until you get to the upper limits, there isn't any difference in performance as such. A gtx960 is somewhere between a 760 and 770, your 560ti is closer to the 750ti, my OC + OC 660ti beats a gtx960 stock.
Just FYI, according to nvidia, the gtx970 was slated as an upgrade for the 500/600/700 series cards below 570/670/760 and the gtx980 is the upgrade for 580/680/770+ gpus. The gtx960 falling in between the 760 and 770 would still be an upgrade for your 560ti, must not so much so as a 970. Standards wise, a 970 will max out just about anything at 1080p, the 960 will max all the cpu strong games, yet still get decent framerates at higher settings on the majority of games.
