>>> UPDATE <<<
Windows 10 fried my perfectly functional PC.
First the admin privileges disappeared, then the start menu vanished.
I had to send the computer to a repair shop.
So, no help needed, thanks.
Just a word to the wise...stay clear of Windows 10!

Solution
For reference of others who may be reading this, you can trying booting in safe mode after accidentally depriving yourself of admin privileges, run netplwiz, and restore admin status to an account. Alternatively, you can run the command "net user administrator /active:yes" in an elevated command prompt to unlock a built-in administrator account with complete access.
