Recommend a cheap/good/quiet air cooler for i5 6600k

Hi Guys,

Bought an i5 6600k and it didn't come with a cpu heatsink. I know nothing about them, so can someone recommend a relatively cheap/good air cooler from the list here since it's the only computer store close? Will $30 be enough? The build is an matx build using the cooler master n200 case if that helps.

I don't plan to overclock much if ever. But if a better one is only a few dollars more that's fine. Sorting the air coolers by price is easiest. Scroll down to the "CPU Coolers" section after sorting.

Have you considered the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO/Plus? A little over $30 but high quality air cooling solution and pretty quiet for a 6600k. http://www.outletpc.com/hn6355.html

Check your dimensions though. Depending on your setup, it might not fit. A smaller fan will likely be louder since it will have to spin faster though.

Does get a bit loud under full load if the fan has to spin up. Will easily fit your case.

Good cooler but will be right at the limit. It's 160mm tall and your case says it supports coolers up to 160mm in height.

The lowest price one I'd consider might be the deepcool gammaxx 400 but the plastic pushpin retention system is awful in my opinion. Same as intel stock coolers. It's around $32 from that site you posted. If it had a better retention system I'd be more apt to suggest it but I think you'd do better with one of the others above.

These coolers will perform as good or better than the 212 evo. Couldn't find the evo on that umart site, found it from cpl for $65 aud which is a ridiculous price for a budget cooler. Even taking into account the currency conversion and turning it to us dollars that's still almost twice the going price for it here. Considering the currency exchange rate, those prices look a bit high if they were u.s. prices but they're really not. There's not much point in going with a $30 aud cooler for a cpu like that, it will likely be noisy, lacking in quality and do a bare minimum cooling job.
