I have a MSi GE70 apache pro, with a Nvidia gtx860m. I would like to hook it up with a 120hz monitor. I will be playing CS:GO and I get about 110-120fps.My laptop has a 60hz monitor, and if I connect it up with a 120hz monitor will It be limited to 60hz? Which cables will I need to get it working? and could you recomment a monitor? My laptop has a 15 pin VGA plug and USB ports.
Thanks!

You have a HDMI out from your laptop, use it. No you will not be limited, use the monitor as your primary/main display, so your external monitor will not set up as an extra monitor. Quite hard to recommend a 120Hz monitor, most of them are sold out. The BenQ XL2420T/2720T is a great choice.
