Pc not displaying anything on new LG monitor

I bought a new LG 24" screen, its model is 24mp56. When I connect my pc it shows "no hdmi signal detected". Im using a gtx 750ti graphics card. I tried many things like using a d-sub cable, reinserting my ram, pushing my gpu down. None of these worked. Pls help

Sometimes the HDMI cable is not plugged in tightly enough. Make sure it's fully in on the monitor and GPU.

Nope didnt work, I have it in as much as I can.
Also, I never used hdmi for my pc, im using it on this screen cuz it didnt have a dvi input.
