Please help me pick a high end gaming moniotor

I currently have a
SAMSUNG 2253BW Black 22" 2ms(GTG) DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP Support 300 cd/m2 DC 8000:1

1680 x 1050
DC 8000:1(1000:1)
D-Sub DVI
170°(H) / 160°(V)

I want to move up to a 27" monitor with excellent resolution and refresh rate. I would prefer another Samsung but other brands are fine. My price range is between $300 -$400

Well Acer K272HUL bmiidp is the best monitor you can get at that price. 27 inch and 1440p resolution are an awesome combo.
