I recently downloaded windows 10 to my desktop and would like to play freecell and spider solitare as I did with windows 7, without purchasing an app and without commercials. Is there a way to get games from windows 7 to run on windows 10? I have a Dell laptop running windows 7 and a desktop running windows 10.

Its in your Start > Apps > Microsoft Solitaire Collection. It looks horrible & the message which tells you "you can't..." do something is very invasive jumping at you from the bottom left - I never used to notice it before. I don't like it and what I really HATE about it is you can't copy the icon to the task bar or the desk top, so you HAVE to open it from the Start button every time. Do Microsoft EVER do any customer research before they pay each other loads of money to "upgrade" their software? Course not. We don't count. We're just the idiots who have to put up with them.

You can do this by copying the Freecell files to your new computer like this: On your laptop, search for freecell.exe. Make a note of where it is kept. Open the file from My Computer (not from the search box). You will have to Show hidden files (or unhide them). When you have located it, copy it to a memory device and paste it into your other computer. Do the same with a file called cards.dll.
