Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card and psu for better gaming performance. The card I have now just doesn't cut it at all, so I hope you all can give me some advice and suggestions / recommendations.

Info:

BUDGET: Around £200

USAGE: Gaming (Guild Wars 2, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Assassins Creed Unity), Adobe Creative Cloud (mostly Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks), video streaming.

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: AMD Radeon HD 6450 1Gb DDR3 / 300w PSU

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: Inspiron 620: i5-2320 3GHz CPU (quad core), 8Gb RAM, running Win 7 64-bit.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Scan, Ebuyer, or will take recommendations.
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: UK

PARTS PREFERENCES: no preference - I'm looking for the best card for my system and budget.

OVERCLOCKING: No. SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 2 x 1920x1080

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I have space for a card that's no more than 8" in length.

Thanks in advance!

where's the thing gone to vote that up?

anyway, that's about the best there is without a PSU upgrade as well. if you can find one that fits, a GTX 960 and a decent PSU will be in or around your budget.

Ugh, I know. It's a pain.

Thanks for the advice - I am happy to upgrade the psu as well, but it was useful to have the options to compare :)

Just to be precise, you have the Inspiron 620 not the 620s, correct?

(The 620 is on the left, the 620s on the right)

with pcpartpicker, you can specify a maximum length when narrowing down a GPU, the one i linked to is 181mm. there were several under 200mm, but that was the cheapest iirc.
