So I currently own 1 BenQ RL2455HM monitor but I am wanting to upgrade to a triple monitor setup. My current predicament is that I don't know which monitor to buy. I was thinking of buying 2 more of my current monitors but my only problem with that is that they have a fairly large bezel and they are TN. My other option is to sell my current monitor and buy 3 others. I have been looking at the BenQ VZ2350HM, AOC I2379VHE and LG 24MP77HM-P, all of which have relatively thin bezels and are $215-$275(AUD). The main purpose would be for surround gaming and I don't really want to spend any more than $275 per monitor. I haven't heard too much about these monitors so any info would be great otherwise any suggestions are welcome. Thanks :)

Read this thread , there is also a link to tri monitor benchmark for the 970. You will get 30fps with battlefield 4 . So you would need to upgrade to a SLI . Does that sound fine for you(I mean to ask do you have a SLI enabled motherboard)?
These are the benchmarks for 970 SLI : http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_970_sli_review,1.html
Check the 4k resolution FPS and multiply it with 1.333 , you will get your 3 monitor FPS.

I can't really afford another 2 monitors and another graphics card at the moment. Which would you recommend? (either the monitors or the graphics card?)

I think i would recommend either buying a 42-50" full HD Tv for gaming or an ULtra wide monitor by LG 29". That way you wont have to upgrade on the GPU part , since increasing the pixels any more will hit performance.
The ultra wide series is a good alternative since it has higher resolutions of 2560*1080 but do note that you can get a 16:10 29" at the same price approx which will have more screen estate but lesser resolution.

Lastly a lot depends on your motherboard if it supports SLI or not. If it does , you can buy 3 monitors now and play games on the three of them at still playable fps for games released until now. After 6-10 months get another 970 (the same one you have ) .
Also 1600*900 resolution will lighten the load for now and give smoother frame rates.

Hello,
¨
1920 * 1080 = 2073600
5760 * 1080 = 6220800

6220800 - 2073600 = 4147200
4147200 / 2073600 = 2
2 * 100 = 200

You're looking at up to 200% (does not scale perfectly) more demanding for your graphics card to keep up. A GTX 970 is good, but don't expect anything spectacular, as you're looking at 6220800 pixels, that's already 68% more demanding than 1440p. With older titles you'll be absolutely fine though.

I would probably want to avoid buying a TV, but I had thought about an ultrawide monitor. This is the motherboard that I have:

I'm pretty sure that it can do SLI, assuming that Y means yes. The graphics card that I have is a Gigabyte G1 Gaming 970

So instead of doing a triple monitor setup, maybe I could just get an ultrawide monitor, it sounds like my graphics card would manage it better and I wouldn't have to buy another one. Since I'm not an expert on ultrawides at all, any recommendations would be great. I have had a quick look and the LG 29UM67 29" / 29UM67-P seemed like pretty good options for under $500(AUD). Any comments on those or suggestions of other would be great. Thanks lads
