Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Update help

Okay so a while ago the GWX icon in the bottom right corner was buggging me so I followed a guide to remove it (http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/windows-7-to-10-gwx-how-to-remove.html) but now I want to upgrade to windows 10 (oops) and need help getting it back. I tried Importing the old registry keys but it gives me an error.

you dont need the gwx icon. you can do the upgrade right from microsoft's website.

download the tool and follow the steps. very easy to do and no additional steps required.
