Can anyone suggest a build to run games on high settings on 30-60+ FPS for a budget of £1000?

Want to replace my current PC completely.

Might push it to £1200 if needed.

Please advise, my knowledge on pc components is quite narrow :(

Maybe something like this?
Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-4790k (4.0GHz) 8MB Cache
STYLISH PIANO BLACK ENIGMA CASE
ASUS® Z97-P: ATX, LG1150, USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs
8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X BEAST DUAL-DDR3 2133MHz X.M.P (1 x 8GB)
6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 980 Ti - DVI, HDMI, 3 DP
1TB WD BLACK WD1003FZEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm)
CORSAIR 550W VS SERIES™ VS-550 POWER SUPPLY
Super Quiet Titan DragonFly Heatpipe Intel CPU Cooler

What monitor will you be using? The 980ti is silly overkill for 1080p

My current build is almost like the build you are going for!
;)
Are you planning to overclock your CPU and/or GPU?

The 8GB Kingston Hyper X Beast is a bit unnecessary, it's too expensive for what it offers, you could go for a cheaper DDR3 and use that money for other components in your PC. A 1600MHz DDR3, and a 2133MHz DDR3 won't give a noticeable performance increase, maybe 2 - 4fps at most.

The Corsair VS Series is not that good, it's tier 4 in the psu tier list
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
Go for something that is in the tier 2, if your budget is not enough then you can get something from tier 3. 550W is enough for this build, but i would suggest going for 650W, in case you want to overclock your CPU and/or GPU in the future. Leaving some headroom is always good.

Also, I suggest, get a decent SSD, Go for a Samsung 850 Evo, if not, any SSD would do, the performance difference between SSDs aren't that much, but you will notice a HUGE difference from a HDD to an SSD. Your PC will boot up very fast, and games will load faster too.

Looking at your budget, you could get a better motherboard, maybe something from Asus's Republic of Gamer's line? For example, the Maximus VII Hero? Intel's new skylake platform just launched recently too, those have DDR4 memory, SATA Express and some other nice features, you might want to look at Core i7 6700K, it's the same price as the 4790K, in my place at least. The Z170 Chipset motherboards are almost the same price as the Z97 Motherboards. The only difference is that Z170 uses DDR4, and DDR4 RAM is more expensive compared to DDR3.

A GTX 980Ti is overkill if you're planning to play at 1080p, unless you're going for a 144Hz monitor. If you're just aiming to game on a 60Hz 1080p monitor, my suggestion would be to get a GTX970, or if the 3.5GB fast section and 0.5GB slower section of the memory bothers u, then get a GTX 980. Personally, i didn't see any problems gaming at 1080p on a GTX 970, i had one before.

I don't really want to overclock it.

Yes 1080p would be resolution I would be playing my games at 60Hz, as the moment I can't afford better monitor as well as RIG, so will just stick with monitor I got at the moment.

I currently own these two components that I could swap from my old RIG:
8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz, X.M.P (2 x 4GB KIT)
1TB 3.5" SATA-III 6GB/s HDD 7200RPM 32MB CACHE

You could easily afford a new PC and a new better monitor too. You would get 100fps in most games with this setup. You could even save an extra £108 by getting the i5 4690k instead. You could probably even get a 1440p monitor if you reused that RAM and hard drive from your last build.

Are you gonna go for two graphics cards in the future maybe when you have the money?

If you are gonna do that, then stick with the Z97 motherboard. If you're gonna stick to a single graphics card, then get a H97 motherboard, you can save come money there.

Swap the GTX 980Ti for a GTX 970, and the Corsair 550W VS Series power supply for anything in tier 1 or tier 2 in the PSU tier list i linked before, and get a good SSD. 550W should be enough if you're going for GTX 970, but it's good to give some headroom, maybe go for a 600W PSU.

If you have extra money in the end and don't mind spending it, then you can go for a 1440p monitor, the GTX 970 is a 1440p card so it would have no problems powering your games at 60fps.
