This is a problem I hadn't experienced until Windows 10. Whenever I play games on my PC, the audio seems to cut out roughly 10-15 minutes after startup. Sometimes earlier, sometimes later. It will just stop without any warning. When I exit the game and try to test the sound, for example: playing a youtube video, it works just fine. But I'll start up the game again and voila! It works and then cuts out some time later. I've updated all of my sound card drivers and whatnot, video drivers up to date, etc...considering reverting back to windows 8 where I didn't have these problems.

Edit: Problem just happened while watching a music video on youtube, so it's not gaming specific. Still just as annoying though - if not more

Solution
There are Windows 10 specific drivers for that motherboard which are unlikely to be the same as those natively supplied by windows. They are located at the following link should you decide to reinstall. Now that you've done an upgrade, you can safely perform a clean install which resolves a lot of these issues anyhow over doing an upgrade. Many systems that have been upgraded cannot be made "right", but are fine after a clean install.

Prior to installing as outlined by another of our members:

1) Check that the software and hardware you mostly use are comptible with Windows 10 and have drivers available

2) Make sure to update...

FX 8320 @ 4.0 GHz
Gigabyte GTX 770 2GB OC Edition
AsRock 970 Extreme4
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1866 MHz
Corsair CX600 600W PSU

Sorry about that. Should've posted those earlier. Haha it was a late night post so I was a little loopy

It is by no means certain to fix your issue but it certainly couldn't hurt.
I'd also use a piece of Driver Removal software like Driver Fusion to ensure any remaining files are removed.

Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work. I decided to see if reverting back to windows 8.1 would fix the issue, and it seems to have...I should just wait a month or so to upgrade to windows 10 so they have time to work out the kinks. Thanks for all the help though guys

2) Make sure to update all necessary drivers and Windows updates

3) Some devices might need a specific driver to operate with Windows 10, it might be a good idea to download these Windows 10 compatible versions prior to upgrading to have them ready

4) Backup all and any important files from your computer to a cloud service or external harddrive

5) Create recovery media for your current Windows install, if you have a OEM pc/laptop refer to the user manual or check the website of the manufacturer for how to create the recovery media for your device (some people have been unable to use the rollback feature after upgrading to Windows 10)
