Can I use my windows 8 key again after upgrading to 10?

Ok so I have a retail copy of windows 8 on my desktop which I recently upgraded to win 10, I was wondering if I can use that windows 8 key again to install windows on a laptop since it is no longer on my desktop? Im assuming you cant but i figured I would ask.

No. You cannot. The Windows 10 "Upgrade" requires the "full version" Windows 8 license.

You gave your Win 8 license to Microsoft to take the free upgrade to Win 10...

What you are asking is if after you trade in your old car on a new one, if the dealer will then give you the old car back so you can drive both of them. That simply is never going to happen.
