Asus VX24AH Cannot set to 2560x1440

I recently bought a Asus VX24AH and hook it up with my cheap Geforce 200 with HDMI. But the most resolution I can use is 1920x1080. I try to add a custom resolution of 2560x1440 (Tried 30, 60 hz) but it still says it is out of range.

I try using a single monitor and the driver is up-to-date. Can anyone please help?

You need hdmi 1.3, which the gforce 200 does not have, to support 1440.

probably a gt520 and keep in mind you'll need a 1.3 or 1.4 cable also.
But since those are 25-30 bucks and you can get a gt720 for $36... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127851
Maybe I'll sell you my 520 and upgrade LoL
