PS Vita or Smach Zero

I am not sure whether or not to buy the smach zero or ps vita for my sons birthday. He wants both really badly and left it up to me to decide. Already he has a giant library of steam games but would like a ps vita to play some classics like crash bandicoot, rachet and clank, jack and daxter etc and anime-like games.

given pre orders for the smack zero aren't in effect until Nov 15 and shipping will not be commencing until 2016 I think the solution is obvious.
