i started a summer job at a day care that payed me $1000 by the end of it. I was planning on using all this money towards a gaming PC. I was not tech savvy whatsoever at the time, so I had my friend decide the entire build for me. Now he did mostly a good job deciding parts for me, but there was one issue. He told me how he has 2 AMD Radeon R9 290x's that he recently removed out of his build, and that I could pay him and run it in my build with Crossfire. He asked me for $250 a piece, which is $500 in total. I was not looking to spend that much money on the graphics cards. Based on what I had already bought, what graphics card should I now get, or what should my plan of action be? Also let me know whether or not I should use crossfire.

I have:

Ram- G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Motherboard- MSI 970 Gaming AM3+ AMD 970 6 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD
CPU- AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W
OS- Windows 10 Home
Heat Sync- Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Power Supply- CORSAIR CX series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC
Case- RAIDMAX Viper GX ATX-512WBR Black/Red Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower
Hard Drive- Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"

As a side note, I do not have that much money left to spend. It would be much appreciated that you guys recommend inexpensive Graphics Cards. If you could, I would like to know a rough estimate of the amount of FPS I could get in some high demanding games.

Thank You!

i think you should go with a single r9 390 (non x) with that budget.

Comments:
-the fx-6300 is not a strong enough processor for the graphics cards you are looking into. you may very well run into a bottleneck. especially crossfire. Also, this is an somewhat outdated chip at this point.
-750w is not enough for two r9 290x. it is recommended 1000w minimum for two. That would add to your psu cost and you would have to lose quality somewhere else.
-a single r9 390 is great for 1080p gaming. you don't need 2 cards, especially at this price bracket. two cards are more likely to stutter and require extra configuration for certain games.
-corsair cx power supplies are known to be low quality and high failure.
-segate drives have a fairly high failure rate.
-you should absolutely have a solid state drive for a good $1000 build if you want performance.
-you can get faster ram for the same price.

Here is what your build should look like for $1000

if you really dont want to spend the extra 67 you can drop the ssd, but I highly recommend it. It can be up to 5x faster boot speeds and programs will open in a flash.

Nice to see a fallout fan. Anyways, my friend said that my build is really meant for crossfire. He said it would not be wise to run the build without 2 graphics cards. He also mentioned something about bottle necking. Do you think this is true or he doesn't know what he is talking about?
