Can anyone recommend a good 2K/3K monitor that's not an ASUS PB278Q

I've a 400-450 budget for a good 1440p monitor, and I'd like it to have no issues with the DP. Can you guys suggest a good one, I can leave with a little ghosting, just no other issues.

My PB278Q is having some DP issues with my 960, and it's a very well-known issue. Some said it was nVidia card having known DP handshake issues, or what not. But I'd like to be able to turn off my monitor without it not being detected by my 960... as I access my system remotely everyday.
