looking for solution for pc video to tablet

I am trying to build a pc that basically has a tablet for a monitor. I want the ability to use it anywhere around the house, with the same latency of a normal monitor, and prefer the tablet to not require any software on it AT ALL in order to recieve the signal from the PC. (running through a shell, such as remote access and other stuff of that nature just complicate things) is this a possibility?

It would require some third party software on both ends to emulate the touchscreen and render/compress the raw video stream. MS remote desktop and teamviewer are the most common ones. I can say firsthand that teamviewer is really fast and has a lot of useful features.

isnt Nvidia Shield doing this as well with their Tablets ?

isnt Nvidia Shield doing this as well with their Tablets ?

I think you can stream games on a NV Shield tablet, not sure about full remote desktop support with no third party software though.
