I had been scratching my head as to why windows explorer would constantly reset itself to the top of a folder regardless of what action is being performed. Became incredibly infuriating when trying to organize and rename a bunch of folders and files, as it would cancel anything I may be typing and snap back to the top of the folder. Traced the cause to happen once every minute, which also happens to be the timer for my background to change. Checked it out, and sure enough, when the background changed, windows explorer would reset to the top of the folder. Does anyone know of a way to stop this from happening, not including the idea of turning up the timer? I'm fine with my background changing less frequently, but it still doesn't solve the fact that it will still happen whenever it decides to cycle over.

Solution
Right click anywhere on your desktop. Select "Personalize." Navigate to the "Colors" tab. Deactivate the option named "Automatically pick an accent color from my background."
