As for title. The monitor i was recommened is a ASUS RoG Swift PG278Q which is 2k, 27'', from what i read is really good for gaming...... and also come for the price of, about, 750€(I am Italian).
The price is very high, luckily since some money came in unexpectedly i can afford it, but what really kind of doesn't convince me are both the inches and the 2k resolution.

After 6 years with a 22''(that i will change either way) i fear that a 27'' may be a little too big for my tastes(and also gaming in general), especially since i play from a standard PC position (50-60 cm position, like most Youtubers to make it clearer). I also kind of fear that with a 2k i will burn out my build sooner than a FULL HD would. Basically i fear a 2k will shorten times and make me go at High or Medium sooner than a Full HD would.

For which one should i go? Full HD or 2k? Buy a new 22'', a 27'' or something in between?

Not at 2k... and personaly, I would move to 4k if I was you. 4k is becoming the new standard over 1080p.

That monitor, IMO, is not a good choice. It is wayy... wayyy.. way... too expensive. I would not pay a 1000$US for it, hell no.

I had the ASUS 4k monitor for a while, it was nice but at the end of the day i didn't feel like it was that much better for gaming than 1080p. So I sold it and bought a 21:9 34" 3440x1440p from LG and I love the extended field of view. I'd go that route if I were you, especially for FPS. I used SLI GTX 970s

I ve been using 2k monitors since 2010 ... the Dell UltraSharp U3011, 30" , IPS , 2560x1600 resolution was my first.

I never looked back at 1080P After that.
