Situation:
Ever since I bought MSI GTX 970 Lite, I have been having problems with my PC waking from sleep.

Every time wake it, I either:
1) Get a black screen and my PC will just restart over a matter of time.
2) My primary monitor will show my lock screen but I can not get pass that, and then my PC will just restart over a matter of time.
3) I can get pass my lock screen, but the PC is unresponsive beside moving opened windows around on the desktop. Then I will receive the sad face blue screen.

Once I restart my PC though, it works perfectly fine. All my programs run smoothly like nothing happened. I would just have to unplug and plug in my linksys Wireless adapter to get internet. Also if I Shut down my PC, I have no issues turning it back on, beside the unplugging the wireless adapter.

GPU: MSI GTX 970 Lite

PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower Gold 750W

Ram: 8GB
OS: Windows 10 x64
HDD: 500GB and 1TB

I have already wiped my computer HDD, and installed upgraded to Win10, so I believe it maybe be something with my Bios or Drivers. I also disable the hybrid sleep thing and that has not done anything. Any help will be great. I am also willing to upgrade my Motherboard and CPU if needed.

Thank you

Honestly, you should just turn sleep mode off and stop worrying about it. There are all kinds of problems with sleep mode -- some straightforward and some mysterious. For example, when I used sleep mode sometimes my PC would wake up without the USB drivers/ports working properly. After a lot of anguish trying to fix it, I just turned sleep off and now it isn't a problem.

Possible Memory problem..My PC was great from a normal power up....From sleep my monitor would not wake up. Usually no mouse or keyboard either.(not exactly your symptoms with the lock screen) I updated bios, I ran memtest overnight and ram was fine. I still felt it was the ram. I went into bios and ram was defaulting to 1600 when it was on auto. My ram was 1866. I set the ram in the bios to 1866 and have not had the problem since. (months) sleep works perfect.
It might be this or just a general ram problem so I would memtest it first.
Good luck.
