New Monitor or a SSD? Which will give me the boost i need!?

Which would give me more of a performance boost is my question,
I'm thinking about getting a either a new monitor to have 144hz over my 60hz, but I was reading around and thinking maybe an SSD would help me out, because I noticed my Hdd is always fluxing to 100% and It may cause some of the stutter I get sometimes in games,
My specs:
MSI z97 gaming 3
10gb of ram
GTX 770 4gb windforce
Intel i7 4790k turbo'd at 4.4ghz with a evo 212 cooler
