Hi,

I'm rather having much trouble with the standard virus scanner.
I am not a fan of them, they block files and create errors.

Now, I have windows defender and every time I restart my pc it turns it self on, after disabling it.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

I don't think you will be able to remove it since it is built in windows(depending on your windows version) but you can use this technique to permanently disable it

As far as I know Windows Defender in Windows 10 disables itself if one installs a third party security software. And if one uninstalls a third party security software Windows 10 activates Windows Defender automatically.

I had seen this same solution elsewhere because I was having the same issue and it was causing BSODs on my system when combined with Kaspersky. The Services screen shot that is shown appears to be from Windows 7, not from 10. The Service startup type is set to Automatic and cannot be changed. On top of that the service cannot be stopped. You can stop the program, but when Windows is restarted, up it goes again.

The only way to stop it is through Group Policy. This means editing the Registry. Complete instructions including a link to download to import the Keys to disable the service can be found here, using the Option Three approach.
