Hello

I want to set up a AOC E2070Swn monitor as a TV. It is connected to a freeview box (Basically a New Zealand cable box) and I keep getting the message "input not supported" and I was wondering if there was any way round this. The freeview box has and hdmi port and from there I have put a HDMI to VGA converter box (not just a lead) and sound is working fine just no video.

I appreciate any help

Thanks

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do. Being VGA only, that monitor has 0 support for HDCP, so no kind of adapter will enable you to use it with any HDMI-connected devices that require HDCP to function.

You mean the regular RCA connectors (Red/White/Yellow) or Component (Red/Green/Blue)? If RCA, you'd need an active adapter box for that. If component, you should be able to use just a regular Component-to-VGA cable.

One thing to keep in mind though: if you're using their HD service, then this still wont work as an HDCP-compliant display is still required to play back the protected HD stream.
