Question about what type of monitor to get for gaming

I mostly play PVP in MMO's,and was wondering if i should get a ultra wide IPS Monitor with 5 ms, and 60Hz,or would it be better to get a tn 1 ms, 144Hz monitor.I know the 1ms 144Hz is better for FPS but is it also better for pvp in mmos where fps drops a lot?other games i'll be playing are games like Just cause 3,Fallout 4,The Division,Star craft Void.Currently playing Skyforge,and want to play Crowfall and The Repopulation. I'll also be getting a GTX 970/960 with the monitor

If you're getting a GTX 970 or a GTX 960 (I recommend the 970), the ultra-wide IPS Monitor 2560 x 1080p @ 60Hz works best. Now, if you plan to get a 144Hz Monitor, even just on a 1920 x 1080, you have to pick a GTX 980 to get the best gaming experience (Ultra @ 140+ fps). So, if you're budget is limited for a 970, I would get the 60Hz monitor instead.
