I have the option to upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10, I am still quite happy with windows 7 and the only reason I would want to use windows 10 is for Direct X12.
My question is, if I get another SSD installed in my PC, would the Win10 upgrade give me the option to install it onto the SSD?

yes, you definitely will be able to install win 10 on your ssd. if you are unsure, i'd say wait 6mos or so until they work out some bugs with win 10. i went from 7 to 10 and i've seen a few annoyances, but overall i am happy with it. if you do decide to upgrade, i strongly recommend reformatting your hard drive from mbr to gpt.

So here is my next question.
Can I format an SSD to gpt? I'm sort of setting up a dual boot using the UEFI bios boot menu.

Sorry, but I just have one more question.
Could I have the SSD set gpt and keep the HDD as it is? The SSD will only be holding the operating system.
