So I have a GTX 980ti made by Zotac and I have 2 BenQ XL2411Z 144hz monitors.

(980Ti: http://www.zotac.com/en/products/graphics-cards/geforce-900-series/gtx-980-ti/product/gtx-980-ti/detail/geforce-gtx-980-ti-zt-90501-10p.html)

(Monitors: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00HZF2JWA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00)

What I want is both the monitors to be running at 144hz. The problem I have is that the graphics card only has 1 DVI port on it and the monitors only have DVI ports on them and no display ports. So what I did was I bought an adapter from amazon which can be found linked below but when I open Nvidia control center it still only shows that monitor at 60hz when using the adapter cable? Am I missing something cause surely if DVI and display port can output 144hz there should be no problem right? Or maybe not all dispaly ports on my 980ti output 144hz? Or will I just need to run one montior at 144hz and the other at 60hz? any help will be much appreciated.

Many thanks, Connor.
