Hello friends.
I would love some help with choosing a monitor. Thanks in advance.

1. What Is Your Country Of Origin?
USA

2. What do you plan to do with this monitor? (ex. Games, Movie Watching, Photo Editing, etc.)
Gaming is its first priority, photo/video editing are also a consideration.

3. What resolution and screen size do you want?

27-29 inches minimum. I would really love to pass 30 inches but could live without it for the right price or quality.

Not sure between 1440p and 4k because unsure how well my GTX 970 will handle these resolutions. Some interest in future proofing via monitor and possible GPU upgrading in a year or two.

I'm at a loss. Could definitely use some help especially with this.

4. What refresh rate do you want? (ex. 60 hz , 70 hz.)

No strong preference.

5. How much are you looking to spend?

500ish max, 300ish minimum. Maybe some wiggle room there.

6. Brands Preferred (ex. Samsung, Acer, Asus, AOC, HP, Viewsonic, etc. )

No strong preference.

7. Brands Not Preferred (state reason why)

None.

8. Are You Buying More Than One Monitor?

No.

9. Is This Monitor A Primary Display Or A Secondary Display?

Primary.

EDIT: Must be G-Sync, not Freesync due to Nvidia card.

Thanks!

I would suggest you go with the 1440p monitors than the 4k if youre going to stick with the 970 for now
By the time you upgrade your gpu in 2 years, there will be much more affordable 4k displays

If you can fork out a little more, you can get the asus mg279q. Its equivalent gsync monitor the acer xb270hu its atleast 700dollar compared to this which is below the 600dollar

But if you are still on a budget than the ones below should be ok, though it is capped at 60fps
