How to Only Track Threads When I Receive a Reply?

Is there any way to only get thread updates when someone replies to me personally, rather than just commenting on a thread that I follow? I know the email notifications do this, but why not the ones on the site? I recently started using the Chrome extension, but it's annoying to get updates on posts that aren't replies to any of my comments. Is there any way to change that?

I don't believe so. There's no way for it to tell that the reply was specifically to you - people can use the [ quote ] tags without specifying a user.

I don't think even the email notifications do this...

Weird. My email notifications definitely do do this, and I think it would be good to have the option in the on-site notifications too...

Maybe. I don't use the email notifications; I'd be swamped.
