Is it worth buying a small capacity SSD?

My mom Toshiba Satellite P755-S5320 HDD is slowly dying and she wants a replacement. She said the most she'll spend is around $60, which is the price of a moderate volume HDD or around a 120gb SSD. I haven't heard positive things about low capacity SSDs but all she uses her computer for is email and facebook. She saves no images or videos or anything that takes up capacity. With Windows 7 and what she uses she would use up maybe 40 gigs and that would be it. Is it worth a small capacity SSD or just stick to HDD. (I have a 500gb SSD and love it, but I've heard mixed reviews about smaller capacity SSDs)

I love my 128 GB Samsung 840 Pro.

I've never heard of anything bad about smaller SSDs, although performance does scale up as size increases. A small SSD is still WAY better than a HDD.

Of course, folks like to talk about Ferraris, and v12, performance blah-blah, small SSD, BOOOOORING right. But if they clearly listen to your need, a small SSD is just fine. Go for it. Samsung, Crucial major brand for reliability.
