Hi everyone, I currently have a budget case that's been fine so far but I've run out of 3.5" drive bays (had 4, lost one to Graphics card). I've been looking around at reviews and such but there are so many options, and I'm hoping to get a case I can stick with for a fair few years so don't want to make a wrong decision.
My requirements:
1. ATX support.
2. Plenty of room for any graphics card I might want to get (just ordered a 560Ti)
3. At least 4 3.5" internal drive bays, the more the better though. I am constantly adding and changing HDD's and currently have 4.
4. Decent Cooling.
5. 2 5.25" drive bays, more would be nice but don't think I'll ever need it.
I'd also like to keep sound down and would like it to look nice, but I'm willing to sacrifice those to a degree.
I have been looking at the Antex 902 v3 (£95) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/245777
and the Fractal Design Define R3 (£85) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/236437.
Both seem like they'd offer what I want, but I'm not sure if they're the best value for money. I also don't know if I like the look of the R3, and a review said it's quite akward to build in. I change componants or clean out the computer fairly regularly, so I'd rather it be an easy to use case.
On a side note, are there any real advantages to getting a case with an eSATA port (or just using USB I suppose) and backing up data externally rather than internally?
Cheers!
