My Specs:
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 270x 4GB Dual-X with Boost
Ram: 8.00 GB
Processor: Intel Core i7

(sorry I don't know more about my own PC, it was given as a gift)

So I plan on upgrading my GPU to that Sappire Radeon R9 270x 4GB, since the current graphics card I have won't be able to support upcoming games!

Anyways, I was wondering if the Corsair CX Series 600 Watt will work with my GPU and the motherboard of my Dell XPS 8700.

I would avoid the CX series. Poor quality components and it is not designed to work in a gaming PC. You can get a higher quality power supply for the same price, if not cheaper than that CX unit.

For the PSU look into one of these. B2 if you are open to rebates, Seasonic S12II if you are not.

You might have to enable safe mode or some other tweaks in your BIOS to get the card working.

Edit: Did not see the GPU was not purchased, I thought it was gifted to you. I agree with CTurbo's recommendations.

I would not use the Corsair CX 600 with any video card. It's not very good.

That is a TERRIBLE price on a 270x. You can get a 280x for that price or a 280, 285, or 380 for cheaper.
