hard disk not initialized and data error (cyclic redundancy check)

i have an toshiba 1Tb hard disk. its is not showing up on my computer and in disk management it is showing unknown not initialized and when i try to initialize it it shows data error cyclic redundancy check). please help. hard disk contains important data.

Unfortunately, it is possible that your drive has failed.

I guess you can try something simple as just attaching it with a different USB cable to a different system.
In case the issue persists and the data stored on it is crucial, it may be a good idea to contact a data recovery company.
