Hi
I've been having some problems (quite a few) ever since I upgraded my PC. What I've noticed is, every time I install graphics drivers for my new r9 290, my monitor loses signal and my PC crashes followed by a restart but no actual display. Now I'm sure it happens after I install the graphics card driver. I've been quite busy today so I had no time to try to fix this problem. So, I left my PC on after reinstalling windows 7 32bit without installing ANY drivers and it's been on from 12pm until now and not one single crash.

Does anyone know what might be the problem here because I'm at my wit's end.

Thanks in advance.

I forgot to add specs
gigabyte ga-78lmt-s2
amd fx 4100 (stock speed)
4gb ram 1333mhz (single module)
r9 290 4gb
hitachi 500gb hdd
ezcool ambiance 80+ 800w psu

How?
My bad, it didn't display the link the first time. I can't believe it's the power supply causing this though.

Could the problem lay within the GPU? It happened again and this time I managed to get a good look at the screen while it froze for a few seconds. I believe I saw artifacts on the screen while it froze. This whole problem is video related from what I suspect. Reason being, whenever I play a game, it happens. It also happens with YouTube videos.

Some say updating the graphics BIOS or reflashing the graphics bios might fix this problem, should I give this a try?
