ASUS monitor textures look jagged, washed out and fuzzy!

I have an Asus VG248QE gaming widescreen computer and after uninstalling blur buster's lightstrobe program which removes motion blur, I immediately noticed that my monitor looks too low res for 1980 x 1080 display! The colors are off, texts are jagged, and wallpaper quality looks too low res! After installing windows 10 and turning on the program again, I still get the same display issues. I checked the settings such as resolution (still at 1980 x 1080 144 Hz), sharpness settings at max, color settings are normal and on point. Please help! It's so bad I'm considering returning it.

I tried using an hdmi cable and still seeing the same issue. So it's not a dp problem.
