can you completely disable the phone feature on the Samsung note 5

I'm looking at getting the new note 5 from Samsung unlocked. But i was wondering if you can completely disable the phone/calling feature on the Samsung note 5? if so how do you do it?

I would assume this. It would 1) Have to be rooted and then 2) uninstall/freeze the app that makes the phone calls?

Why would you want to disable this though? Plan on giving it to a kid or something?

yea and the kid has like a addiction for prank calling and phoning the police and I want to disable that some how. hes 15 btw.

You could try going to the carrier and disable calling?

If it is a Verizon or ATT branded Note 5 DO NOT ROOT IT OR ATTEMPT TO ROOT IT. It will brick the phone and render it useless until you unroot it.

Buy the kid a iPod touch then, you spend extra cash on a phone so you can call from it.

ipod touch is what i was thinking as well. though if it has net access, then it will be possible to install a voip service and make calls anyway if the mic is still activated.

personally a 15 yr old that has proven to be so immature and not trustable does not deserve such a device anyway. ..... just my 2 cents anyway
