Figured I'd refresh my 3770k build from 2012.

- 3770K Lapped & Delidded
- Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra on die/dinner lip, on top of lid and on corsair side
- Corsair H110i GTX (Did not lap corsair side)
- Cross Fire 7970 Vapor X 3GB
- Asrock Extreme 4
- Kingston Hyper X Ram
- High Tech PC Top Deck Work Station w/ 140mm fan
- Corsair HX850
- Samsung SSD

With all fans @ 85% and water pump on high/performance mode:

Idle stock cpu = 16-22c & gpu 24c

@ 4.8 overclock temps are still low to mid 30s at idle & gpu 28c @ 1200/1600 medium OC.

Very fun to build with the high tech pc test bench. So easy to make adjustments. Time to dial in over clocks and run some 3d marks firestrike!

Interesting my 3770K idle temperature right now is 26c highest core, load temperature running IBT is 70c highest core.

I am overclocked to 5ghz and that's my idle at 5ghz, my 3770K has not been delidded or lapped.

Check the validation to the right.

So what are your load temperatures, idle doesn't really matter.

I'm still experimenting. Delidding and good paste seems to effect the temps under load. @ 4.8 after an hour of prime, my max temps are 50-53c for all cores. I wish I would have tested the temps before changing everything. But if I remember correctly it was well over 70c. So this falls right on par with everyone claiming 20-30c after delidding during load.

I am using the IHS. I was tempted to do bare die mounting, but the H110i GTX barely makes contact with the IHS on. I had to double and triple check to make sure. I asked a buddy of mine with the same cooler and he also agreed that is almost looked like no contact was being made. But it is. So removing the IHS would probably result in a tiny gap with all screw connections maxed.
