Run a 4k 21:9 monitor (display port) and a projector (HDMI) simultaneously?

Hi guys.
I am considering a projector for my study instead of a 4k TV. I want to use it for gaming and movies mostly...also to review some work related media. Is it possible to run both a 21:9 monitor and a projector at the same time? The monitor is connected via display port and the projector will be hdmi. Is this even possible given that the aspect ratio of the projector is likely to be 16:9/4:3 etc? Is there a splitter/switch I should consider? Or will it simply be a case of removing one input for another?

My GPU is a gtx970 evga

Hi there

Should be no reason at all you cannot run them both at the same time, since the PC will see the projector as just another monitor. You'll be able to adjust the resolution as needed.
