Laptop monitor hinge broken?

Hi. This issue just popped up out of nowhere. The thing is thatone of the hinges connecting the laptop screen to the rest of the laptop is kind of separated and so is the portion of the plastic of the screen connected to the hinge. This causes the laptop to creak and make cracking sounds whenever I open it up. In fact I think it's causing the rest to break as well. I don't know what caused the issue as I have been treating my laptop with complete care. It has been with me for over a year now. Never dropped it, never bumped it into anything. Always carry it in a separate bag. I own an HP pavilion m6 1019-tx. All help and explanations as to why it may have happened will be greatly appreciated. Please help ASAP. Thank you.
