Do you really need a expensive graphics card to play new games?

The main question is are you willing to play games on 1440p or 4k.
The most gamers play games on the pc at 1920x1080 and thats when they go wrong and buy expensive graphics cards like the Nvidia Titan x just to play games on 1080p.

My advice the GTX 950/960/970 is more then enough to play games on ultra at 1080p.
I've being there, I've changed my GPU 2 times from GTX 780 to GTX 970 now I've recently bought the GTX 980 ti to play games on 1440p high/ultra.

Me either you shouldn't be a "fanboy" at all, get the best card for they money that suits your purposes the best regardless of what company happens to make it.

Nvidia is like Apple to me expensive and satisfying in performance.
AMD is cheap like lets say Android great in price and not by far behind Nvidia in performance.
