Thin black line across monitor.

I recently bought a 24" lg IPS monitor (LG lg 24mp47hq) and i noticed after a few days of use that when certain colors are displayed (with green and blue being the most noticeable) a really thin black line is visible that starts on the left side of the screen (it's horizontal) and fades of to the right. Might this have something to do with my GPU( an old Geforce GT 220) or is the monitor somehow damaged? My monitor is connected to my gpu with a fairly new HDMI cable.

Can you test it with another source input.

I am suspecting the monitor if it is always in the same place. Gpu issues normal affect random or all over the screen in my experience.
