my windows 10 installed on my SSD
my games on my 1tb blue western digital
my media on my 2 tb green western digital

now I have my 500 GB hitachi I'm using that drive
for downloads like videos and data before I move them to my green or blue drive
also for unzip rar files
now when I turn on my pc also when turn it off
the hitachi drive motor start to work like it is working at full speed with a wistling sound for some seconds
or after idle the computer and want to acess that drive it makes the same thing

I want to replace it with onother 500 gb drive

my question
if I remove it and installed my new drive
will it leave a lot of garbage on the registry and windows
so it affect the OS speed and performance ?
do you recommend to reinstall windows 10 ?
no programs or games installed on that drive

If your OS is installed on the Hitachi drive, then yes you will need to reinstall Windows. It won't leave garbage on the registry. The speed and performance depend on the next time you get, you want the one with the highest RPM. Windows 10? Personal opinion. I don't like it, I still prefer Windows 7. That's something that you should decide on.
