Question Why do macs sometimes startup straight away when you connect the power adapter (without pressing the power button)?

When I disconnect the battery and then I connect the power adapter, macbooks typically start straight away when you connect the power cable. I'm curious as to why this happens.

Because the startup automatically after power failure feature is enabled in system preferences under energy saver.
