I am having this strange issue, where I take out the battery charger, and the battery light on my laptop is blank (meaning that it is not charging) Then ten seconds later, the Battery icon on my laptop turns on (orange, meaning charging, but not fully charged). However, I am not charging my battery at all!!! (i.e. The charger adapter is not connected to the laptop)
"batteryinfoview.exe" Seems to know that I am not charging, but here is a screenshot:

There is normally a "-" sign before the "Charge/Discharge Rate" before the "4473 milliwatts" However, now there is none. It says "Charging, AC power" but at the top it reports the time remaining for the battery. Confusion?
I normally operate my laptop without the battery, but this "problem" bothers me when I take my laptop without a power source (With my battery in).
The hardware seems to be the problem, because when the Orange Battery Light is on, immediately Windows 10, 8.1, AND Linux all think that the battery is charging.
The problem started only 1 month ago.
I updated my BIOS half a year ago. I don't want to go through the horror of Updating BIOS again. The fans go full (really loud), and for some paranoiac reason, I think the computer is going to overheat.
Could this problem be because I insert the battery/take out the battery when the system is on?
Maybe there is static electricity? (Very Unlikely)
Maybe it is a motherboard failure?
Maybe the battery needs replacing? (The battery is very healthy. The wear level is only 2.3% I think
Or maybe I began Windows installation with the battery out?
My Acer Aspire E5-571PG-524H is slightly over a year old. Here are the specs
Intel Core i5-4210U CPU
Nvidia 840M GPU
4GB DDR3 L RAM
1TB WDC WD10JPVX HDD
Any replies would be appreciated. Thank you in advance
