Every time I reboot the icons on my taskbar take way too long to show, along with some of the default icons such as the File Explorer. They only show completely after about 15-20 seconds after the icons on the desktop appear. They will start appearing on the taskbar almost like one by one until all of them are there.

Why is it? The boot up time until this is quite normal, nothing out of the ordinary.

Thanks already!

Hard to tell. You could have a lot of programs starting up when Windows first loads causing lag. If you have Windows 8-10

1. Right-Click on the start button, & click on "Run"
2. Type in "msconfig" without the quotes and hit enter
3. Click on the "Startup" tab
4. Click "Open Task Manager"

Everything that has "Status Enabled" is starting up when Windows starts. You can disable anything that you don't want to startup when the system starts, and the system will finish loading faster. (Right Click & Select Disable) to stop it from loading when the computer starts up.

You can also do a disk cleanup.

1. Open File Explorer
2. Right-Click On C:/ Click "Properties"
3. Click On "Disk Cleanup"
4. Check What You Want To Clear. (I Always Check Everything) Up to you
5. Click OK
6. Click Delete Files

This Should help
